Working @ Kem’s Klips

I completed my VCTC barbering level 2 in August 2021. 

After finishing the course I was in a difficult position of finding a shop that I would not only feel comfortable in but would also help me grow as a barber

I actually found Kem’s Klips through the tutor on our course. I then spoke with the owner directly and was given a barber / stylist position in the business on a part time basis. 

My experience at Kem’s Klips so far has been great! I feel comfortable in the business but also have been given room to grow and enhance my barbering skills! I am able to express myself and bring new ideas to the table which have helped improve the business but also helped me take steps forward in achieving my personal goals. 

The team are very welcoming and have helped me settle in smoothly. I was also helped with additional training at the start as the skills I learnt on the course wasn’t enough for me to move into a live shop environment and provide high quality haircuts. 

I am looking forward to what Kem’s Klips has to bring in the future! But for my journey so far, I have been very impressed and definitely feel at home when I am in the shop. 

I think there’s a lot more to come but this is a good start to my barbering journey so far.
